Emanuela Scarponi is a professor, journalist, photoreporter and writer. She was born on January 28th, 1965, in Rome- Italy.

She graduated on 16th march 1987 with honours at University LUMSA of Rome, in foreign Languages and Literatures (English, French, Spanish).

She became a professor in 1991.

She became a movie-maker. In Rai radiotelevisione italiana in 1990.

In 1992 she became a Parliamentary reporter at the Senat house. Italian Parliament.

On 02/06/2004, she was Knighted (Cavaliere dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana). (OMRI).

She wrote her first book “La Namibia e i suoi popoli” in 2009, published by ISIAO, and realized her first film: “Namibia”, published by ISIAO.

Her first photo exhibition took place at ISIAO in 2009 and a new edition took place at the Ministry for foreign affairs, in the prestigious Aldo Moro hall.

In 2011 she attended a master of “African studies” at ISIAO.

She then set up the website .http://africanpeoplescientificnews.it

She realized the film “I San del Kalahari”, 2011, published by APN publisher.

She wrote: “A brief travel report with a polar bear in Island” published on the Italian review “Nuove proposte” in 2013.

She registered the journal Africanpeople review, at the Court of Rome and at CNR science research Council.

In 14 febbraio 2014 AFRICANPEOPLE ONG (Not Governative Organization) was created, and since December 2015 it became the legal entity-publisher of Africanpeoplenews.

Africanpeoplenews is now becoming an important information reference point - press agency.

As a publishing house, AFRICANPEOPLENEWS promotes cultural contributions about Africa.
In 13-09-2021 She became a journalist in the National order of italian journalists - tessera n. 197549.

As part of her professional profile, she won several prizes for her journey photos exhibited at important exhibitions of Isiao, Ministero affari esteri, Isola del cinema, Festival dell’Oriente, Orto botanico di Roma, San Pietro in vincoli, Creative photos Awards Siena,). Her films on Africa were chosen by antrhopological competition on migrastion at museo Pigorini Rome organized by Università La Sapienza di Roma. Her works are conserved at Baslerafrika Basilea Switzland.

Since 2021 she has been the director of the press agency Africanpeoplenews and Silkstreetpress journal.
